All cars must have the safety engine shut off switch mounted on the left behind driver in |
| |
|
¼ window accessible to safety personnel. |
| |
 |
Absolutely no trans coolers, tranny lines and/or fuel lines within the drivers compartment of |
| |
|
the car. |
| |
 |
A four-point roll cage is mandatory. It must be a minimum of 1 ¾ inch schedule 40 pipe or |
| |
|
1 ¾ inch by .095 steel tubing. There must be a minimum of 4 door bars on the drivers side and at least 2 passenger side door bars at 90 degrees to the ground. (This includes left side cages.) |
| |
 |
Rear uprights must be cross-braced. Center roof bar and windshield bars must be installed |
| |
|
and padded. Left side cages must have a center windshield bar but the roof hoop must be no less than 30 inches from the outside of the rear roll bar. |
| |
 |
Front upright bars must be connected by dashboard bar. |
| |
 |
One bar may be installed for radiator protection but must not protrude past the bumper. |
| |
 |
All cages will have an ankle bar on the left side. |
| |
 |
All roll cage members adjacent to the driver will be padded. |
| |
 |
All cars must have a safety approved bucket type seat mounted securely to the roll cage. |
| |
 |
All seats will have headrests. |
| |
 |
All cars must have a minimum racing approved seat belt mounted to the roll cage. Shoulder |
| |
|
belts must be fastened below shoulder height. Belt certification is 8 years maximum. |
| |
 |
All cars must have a drivers side safety approved window net with a quick release catch |
| |
|
that the safety personnel can undo easily. |
| |
 |
Batteries must be securely mounted and sealed in a battery box with a lid. Metal box |
| |
|
required. |
| |
 |
All holes in the firewall must be sealed. |
| |
 |
Rear firewall must be a minimum of 20-gauge steel. |
| |
 |
Fuel cells in cars are mandatory. The overflow must extend below the cell in the event of a |
| |
 |
valve failure, or have a check valve failure, or have a check valve. |
| |
 |
Fuel cells must be mounted between the frame rails and as far forward as possible and |
| |
|
practical. They must be in metal case and have a minimum 8-inch ground clearance. |
| |
 |
All coolers must be ahead of the front firewall or behind the rear firewall. |
| |
 |
Radiators must be in front of the engine and must have a minimum 4 litre catch can. |
| |
 |
All cars must have a working 2 lb. Fire extinguisher within easy reach of the driver. |
| |
 |
Every pit will have a minimum 5-lb. extinguisher in working order every time you are at the |
| |
|
track. |
| |
 |
All body metal must be folded over and/or duct taped. |
| |
 |
No alcohol racing fuel allowed. MAXIMUM FUEL ALLOWED IS CHEVRON 94 NO AVIATION |

|

 |
Left side mirrors are to be stock size or 1 stock size rearview mirror. No wink mirrors. |

No car to pit communication allowed. Hand signs only. |
| |
 |
Bumpers must be attached to the fenders or quarter panels within the bodylines of the car. |

No rub bars. |

The rear may be sheeted up to behind the driver-it must be sealed. |

Driving suit and gloves-When driving you must wear an approved minimum 1 ply (single |
| |
|
layer) full-length firesuit and racing or leather gloves. Firesuit must have a sf 1 label. You may wear coveralls with a fire retardant treatment. No firesuit or fire retardant coveralls and gloves NO RACING!! |

Safety first If a Techman or track official sees something on your car and tells you to |

change it Do it or dont race! |
| |

All cash award races will be subject to normal qualifying, by time-ins |
| |
 |
The car you time in is the car you race, no backups. |
| |
 |
The pit boss reserves the right to move rookies to the back or run a modified start. |
