These Street Stock rules were originally designed to allow you to build a cheap and safe race car. Through the years it has become one of the fastest classes in the Province. The main emphasis will be safety with some technical restrictions. Decision or interpretations of these rules by the track officials shall be the final ruling. If you feel these rules are too restrictive move up to the Sportsman class. The #1 rule is STOCK, STOCK, STOCK! If it doesn’t say you can, you can’t.

Chassis
  Any North American built, stock production passenger car through current year as well as
    pick up trucks. No soft-tops, station wagons or front wheel drives.
  Minimum wheelbase of 108 inches. Wheelbase must remain stock to the year and model
    with a maximum variation of 1 inch from right side to left side.
  Newer style bodies may be used on older style frames. (You can put an 84 Monte Carlo
    body on a 69 Chevelle frame or vice versa).
  The installation must be done safely and neatly. The wheelbase must remain original to
    the frame.
  Firewalls and floorboards must be stock and fit as close as possible to the original car or
    new body.
  No shortening of the frame horns allowed. If rusted or damaged, they may be replaced but
    they must be the same length and location and of equal gauge metal or greater.
  Fiberglass nose or tailpieces allowed, must be stock appearing.
  One stock mirror is allowed, No oversized or wink or truck mirrors.
  There must be a chain or eye, front and rear for lifting. (tow truck)
 
   
  Engines
 
  The engine must be the same manufacturer as the frame. (GM frame, GM engine)
  The engine must be in the stock forward location without altering the frame, with stock
    mounts in the stock location: You may weld the stock mounts together in place of the rubber.
  The Engine must be stock 2-barrel specs. No fuel injection. No vortex.
  You must have stock cast iron manifolds. No 2.5-inch Corvette center dumps. 2 inch are
    OK No alterations to manifolds allowed.
  Two 2-inch diameter for a minimum of 24 inches in length exhaust pipe, must extend
    past the driver within 12 inches or the rear tires, the pipes must not pass through the drivers compartment unless the pipes are sheeted over with minimum 20 gauge metal(must be sealed). Exhaust must be visually accessible to tech.
  All cars must have a form of noise suppression: A 3-inch sleeve over the 2-inch is
    adequate. Any other kind of muffler with a maximum 95DB at 100 ft is OK.
  Cars must have a working starter and a reverse gear.
  Air filter or flame arrester (s) mandatory.
  Small block engines only. Maximum over bore is .060-inch. GM 350 max. c.i.d. Chrysler
    360 max. c.i.d. Ford 351 max. c.i.d. No bin blocks or 400 GM allowed.
  No GM camel bump heads allowed. Maximum 1.94 intake 1.50-inch exhaust Chrysler 318
    two barrel heads OK. Ford 289 and 302 two barrel heads are OK.
  Absolutely no modifications to heads such as porting, polishing, port matching, roller-
    rockers, or angle milling, valve seat blending may extend ¾ inch into port. No stud girdles, no guide plate, screw in studs are ok.
  Pistons- Flat top cast pistons only. No forged pistons, GM must have 4valve relief’s that
    are factory machined unless they had no valve relief's such as Chrysler 318 and 360.
  No stroking allowed by matching crankshafts from one engine to another. IE: Do not put
    a 350 Chev crank in a 400 block or vice versa.
  Camshafts-Any hydraulic or solid camshaft allowed as long as the 1.5 rocker ratio
    remains, No mushroom or roller cams.
  The carb-Allows removal of the choke assembly.
  The choke horn stays.

  Suspension
 
  The control arms and mounts both front and rear must remain in stock location to year
    and model of frame. Stock OEM parts, bigger OEM spindles allowed.
  Neoprene bushings allowed but no steel bushings.
  The upper control arm shaft called the problem solver is allowed to attain camber on GM
    cars.
  Pony cars- may have sub frames tied together.
  No heim joints, a cutting, welding or bending of A-Arms.
  One stock type shock absorber bolted in the stock location per wheel. AFCO or PRO stock replacement with a $80.00 claim per shock
  Rated springs may be used. No adjustable spring shackles, jacking bolts or air shocks
    permitted. Sliders permitted.
  Only rubber spring wedges and full circle spacers on top of springs may be used no metal
    wedges in the springs.
  A minimum 6-inch ride height on left side to the main frame rails or doorsills on unibody
    cars with the driver in the car (No modifications to door sill height)
  Lowering blocks allowed on leaf springs.
  All cars must have a skid plate on the right front lower control arm.
  No alteration to the K member.
 
   
  Tires/Wheels
 
  A heavy-duty steel wheel up to a maximum 8-inch rim width will be permitted. One 8-inch
    rim may be used on right front only.
  Wheel weights must be stick on type. Installed on the inside of the rim with tape over
    them. No pound on weights allowed.
  The tire and wheel shall not extend anymore than 50% from the outside of the body. (No
    flaring allowed)
  2-inch maximum offset wheel.
  Tires - American Racer (#'s to be announced). Same tires from qualifying will run all day
   

and start the main event.

Tires - American Racer G60's.

Tire Purchase:
6 Tires prior to start of season.
1 Tire per race day per car.

Tire will be available the 3 rd week of April.
     
 
   
  Drive Train
 
 

NO GOLD TRAC OR DETROIT LOCKERS

  No locked or limited slip rear-ends allowed. Ford 9-inch conversions may be done. But the
    rear-end must be centered in the car and the installation will be to the satisfaction of the techman.
  Any O.E.M. manual or automatic transmission is allowed but all must have a working
    reverse.
  Automatic transmissions must have a working torque converter.
  Cars with manual transmissions must have a scatter shield of ¼ inch steel installed over
    the bell housing to protect from the clutch flywheel.
  Drive shafts must have at least one u-shaped retaining bracket installed near the front of
    the drive shaft. Drive shafts must be painted white!
  All cars must have four stock wheel brakes in good working order. No rear discs.
  No Brake biasing valves – stock brakes.
 
   
  Body
 
  Bodies must be complete and remain neat in the stock location. A damaged car will only be
    allowed to race that race day before being repaired.
  Cars must have bumpers and they must be strapped to the fenders and the rear quarter
    panels prevent hooking.
 

The interior of the car must be stripped of all flammable material. All sharp objects must be

    removed; fold over or duct tape any sharp or rough edges.
  All glass must be removed except for windshield. The windshield must be strapped with a
    minimum of 2 straps or 6 tabs.
  Lexan windshields are allowed but must be strapped and/or 6 tabs as well as pop-riveted
    every six inches. No screws.
  Roll fender well edges under, not out
  All doors must be strapped or welded shut. All cars must have the stock hood and trunk lid.
  Firewall between the driver and the engine, and the driver and trunk area must be sealed.
    No holes will be allowed minimum 20-gauge steel must be used. No aluminum tape!
  Stock engine firewall and trunk wall must be in stock location.
  Sheet metal may be used to replace damaged body parts but it must be minimum 22-gauge
    steel.
  Lead ballast are allowed but must be securely fastened. They must be painted white &
    have the car number on it.
  All cars must be brightly painted. Car color and number must be of high contrast. Driver’s
    name must be on both sides of the car with the number on the roof.
  A minimum 24-inch high 3-inch stroke number is required on both sides in the door area as
    well as the roof and the roof number must face right.
  Brake pedal must be in the stock location
  Gas pedal may be modified for safety.
  Spoilers must have radiused corners and be a max. of 6-inches high.
 
   
  Weight and Height
 
  Minimum 3200 lb. weight rule is in effect. Coming off the track the car and driver must
    weigh in at least 3168 lb. or more to allow for fuel loss. Top 5 are to go directly to the tech pad after the main without going to their pit. This also applies to any other race (ie dash or heat) that the tech wants to see your car. If it is a longer race add more fuel or weight!!
  55% left side weight maximum is allowed.
 

Ride height minimum 6 inches. Camaros measured at the door sill.

  Safety
 
  All cars must have the safety engine shut off switch mounted on the left behind driver in
    ¼ window accessible to safety personnel.
  Absolutely no trans coolers, tranny lines and/or fuel lines within the drivers compartment of
    the car.
  A four-point roll cage is mandatory. It must be a minimum of 1 ¾ inch schedule 40 pipe or
    1 ¾ inch by .095 steel tubing. There must be a minimum of 4 door bars on the driver’s side and at least 2 passenger side door bars at 90 degrees to the ground. (This includes left side cages.)
  Rear uprights must be cross-braced. Center roof bar and windshield bars must be installed
    and padded. Left side cages must have a center windshield bar but the roof hoop must be no less than 30 inches from the outside of the rear roll bar.
  Front upright bars must be connected by dashboard bar.
  One bar may be installed for radiator protection but must not protrude past the bumper.
  All cages will have an ankle bar on the left side.
  All roll cage members adjacent to the driver will be padded.
  All cars must have a safety approved bucket type seat mounted securely to the roll cage.
  All seats will have headrests.
  All cars must have a minimum racing approved seat belt mounted to the roll cage. Shoulder
    belts must be fastened below shoulder height. Belt certification is 8 years maximum.
  All cars must have a driver’s side safety approved window net with a quick release catch
    that the safety personnel can undo easily.
  Batteries must be securely mounted and sealed in a battery box with a lid. Metal box
    required.
  All holes in the firewall must be sealed.
  Rear firewall must be a minimum of 20-gauge steel.
  Fuel cells in cars are mandatory. The overflow must extend below the cell in the event of a
  valve failure, or have a check valve failure, or have a check valve.
  Fuel cells must be mounted between the frame rails and as far forward as possible and
    practical. They must be in metal case and have a minimum 8-inch ground clearance.
  All coolers must be ahead of the front firewall or behind the rear firewall.
  Radiators must be in front of the engine and must have a minimum 4 litre catch can.
  All cars must have a working 2 lb. Fire extinguisher within easy reach of the driver.
  Every pit will have a minimum 5-lb. extinguisher in working order every time you are at the
    track.
  All body metal must be folded over and/or duct taped.
  No alcohol racing fuel allowed. MAXIMUM FUEL ALLOWED IS CHEVRON 94 NO AVIATION
    FUEL.
  Left side mirrors are to be stock size or 1 stock size rearview mirror. No wink mirrors.
  No car to pit communication allowed. Hand signs only.
  Bumpers must be attached to the fenders or quarter panels within the bodylines of the car.
    No rub bars.
  The rear may be sheeted up to behind the driver-it must be sealed.
  Driving suit and gloves-When driving you must wear an approved minimum 1 ply (single
    layer) full-length firesuit and racing or leather gloves. Firesuit must have a sf – 1 label. You may wear coveralls with a fire retardant treatment. No firesuit or fire retardant coveralls and gloves –NO – RACING!!
  Safety first – If a Techman or track official sees something on your car and tells you to
    change it – Do it or don’t race!
  All cash award races will be subject to normal qualifying, by time-ins
  The car you time in is the car you race, no backups.
  The pit boss reserves the right to move rookies to the back or run a modified start.
  DISQUALIFICATION WIIL RESULT IN LOSS OF POINTS AND OR AWARDS AT
